| After downloading, run SmdrApp.msi on the computer chosen to host the SmdrApp capture service first (preferably on the same machine with Avaya IP Office Manager and SMDR Delta Server installed.)
In these instructions \\MERLIN is the machine name chosen to host the SmdrApp capture service. Change to meet your requirements.

| Read and accept the license agreement. |

| Enter the name and address of your organization. |

| During the installation, the machine chosen to host the SmdrApp capture service replaces MERLIN
Smdr Server: \\your machine's name
the two slashes are required
Shared Folder: path to shared folder

using the default value is okay, unless a clash will occur and your C:\ITS\ folder is not to be used.
IP Office Address: your IP Office's ipaddress
see Retrieving the Switch Configuration Via Manager for a way to obtain the ipaddress.
Smdr Port: default okay
Must match SMDR Delta Server configuration and should not be a Well Known Port number e.g.: 80, 23, 25 etc.

PbxID: any small number

| During the server install, if the server (your MERLIN) will also host the client application, choose complete, otherwise choose custom.
During a client install, choose typical.

Either way, click next.

| Click install
The Avaya IP Office Manager should run. Export the configuration to the ITS shared directory and exit the Avaya IP Office Manager Program.
If the installer could not find the Avaya IP Office Manger Program (Installer checks the \Program Files\Avaya\IP Office folder.). Continue to complete setup and follow Alternate Export Setup to complete configuration.

| Click finish. |

| After the install is complete and the machine restarts if necessary, go to the control panel and click on the Smdr Capture Service icon to configure the service and tailor the database created and pre-configured with your switches user, group, account, extension and line information to suit your requirements. |
